About
Megan Alexander is a lyric soprano, composer, choral conductor, and experienced music educator. She earned her undergraduate degree in voice performance from the University of Western Ontario, where she studied under acclaimed soprano Gwenlynn Little. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto, receiving the Ontario Music Educators’ Association Pre-Service Scholarship in 2008. Megan currently works as a vocal music teacher and choral director, inspiring students through both performance and pedagogy.
In addition to her work in music, Megan is the creator of the Flying Bed Meditations—a series of imaginative bedtime stories co-written with her daughter during the COVID-19 pandemic. Blending gentle narrative with global exploration, each story transports listeners to a new country, immersing them in its unique culture and landscape while gently guiding them toward rest. Inspired by the bedtime tales her own father once told her, Megan has reimagined these stories as calming meditative journeys that foster curiosity, comfort, and connection across generations
